The Association Association of Proposal Management Professionals in the Netherlands (APMP NL) processes personal data. We would like to inform you about this clearly and transparently. In this privacy statement we give you answers to the most important questions about the processing of personal data by APMP NL.
What are personal data
There are data that say something about you. For example your name, address, age. When (a combination of) these data can be traced to you, we speak about personal data. For example your address or e-mail address. But also, for example, your first name together with your date of birth. When others have personal data, they have to handle it carefully. Photos and videos are also seen as personal data.
From whom does APMP NL process personal data?
APMP NL processes personal data of people with whom we have, or have had, a direct or indirect relationship. These are, for example, data from:
- Members of APMP belonging to the chapter in the Netherlands: APMP NL
- People who show interest in a membership at APMP
- People who are connected to a company or organization, with whom we want to have, or have had, a relationship with.
Who is responsible for the processing of my personal data?
APMP NL is the Dutch Chapter belonging to APMP in the USA (referred to in this document as APMP International - APMP Int.). The members of APMP NL are in fact members of APMP Int. The formal members administration therefore takes place on systems in the USA and are not covered by European and Dutch legislation and APMP NL has no influence on this.
APMP Int. processes personal data via the apmp.org website. You can do this yourself, after you have registered.
We can download the members list of the Dutch Chapter and use it locally (in the Netherlands), for example for communication to our members and for organizing events.
What does APMP NL process personal data for?
If you want to become a member of APMP, participate in an event or want to enter into a different relationship with us, we need personal data.
Once you are a member or relation of APMP NL, we want to be of service to you. For example, we use your name and address details to maintain contact with you and to inform you about membership related matters, but also when you ask a question, we process your data to help you as well as possible.
Data can also be used for promotional or marketing purposes. For example to inform you about a new activity from APMP NL. Do not you want to be approached by this? Then you can indicate this by clicking 'unsubscribe' at the bottom of the relevant email.
Finally, there are practical issues for which we process data. For example in support of administrative processes concerning contribution and participation in events.
Does APMP NL also process special personal data?
Special personal data are sensitive data, for example about health, criminal record, ethnic data or data concerning race.
APMP NL does not process special personal data.
How does APMP NL deal with my personal data?
Your personal data will be stored carefully and will not be processed longer than is necessary for normal use within the association or the purpose for which it is.
Who can access my personal data?
You can of course use your personal data. By logging in to apmp.org you can find and edit all data relating to your membership.
APMP NL can also view your details.
Within APMP NL, your personal data can only be accessed by employees or volunteers who must have access to this in view of their position.
Exchange of personal data within APMP
Do we want to use data for a purpose other than that for which they were originally processed? Then we can only do that when there is a close relationship between the two goals. For example, if you register for an event and therefore contact details are retrieved directly from the membership administration.
How long is my data saved?
Data related to your membership is retained in restricted form after deregistration in order to be able to continue to generate statistical information such as membership numbers over the years. In addition, it is possible for APMP NL with this information to inform or approach former members. The statutory regulations apply to the storage of this data.
Which rules apply to the processing of personal data?
APMP NL is bound by applicable laws and regulations when processing personal data.
Can I see which data APMP NL processes from me?
By logging in to apmp.org with your account you can retrieve and edit your data relating to your membership registration.
